On June 2016, Dr. Lola Canamero was interviewed by the New York Times for a special multimedia feature on Artificial Intelligence, commissioned by UBS to commemorate the 100th birthday of Nobel Laureate Prof. Herbert Simon, one of the "founders" of Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Lola Canamero was one of the four scientists worldwide selected for this special edition, alongside with Hiroshi Ishiguro, Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann, David Hanson.

Robin a robot that helps the diabetes

On 25 June 2015, Dr. Lola Canamero and her team demonstrated the autonomous toddler robot Robin at the UH Innovation Showcase. Its purpose is to help children monitor their diabetes condition.
